Deborah Kruzel
Genuine Values, Real Results for Pelham
Rooted in Pelham. Fighting for Its Future.
Deborah Kruzel has proudly called Pelham home since 2000. She and her husband of 30 years chose to raise their two daughters here after leaving Massachusetts in search of lower taxes, greater personal freedom, and a government that respects individual liberties.
Debbie has dedicated much of her career to education, including 15 years at MIT, and has been helping families buy and sell homes as a Realtor since 2009.
Over the past four years, she has watched New Hampshire's state representatives work to protect the values that make the Granite State unique. She believes those values are worth preserving. To Debbie, "Live Free or Die" isn't just the state motto — it's the reason she chose to make New Hampshire her home.
When she's not working or focused on public policy, Debbie enjoys hiking, skiing, boating, and gardening. She cares deeply about how New Hampshire educates and prepares the next generation, and that commitment inspired her to run for office.
Live Free or Die.What I'll Fight For in Concord
Clear principles. Real accountability. A representative who holds the line.
Affordability
Deborah will fight to reduce Pelham's property tax burden by demanding greater fiscal discipline in state spending and opposing unfunded mandates that force towns to raise local taxes. She will work to keep New Hampshire free of a sales or income tax while pushing back on fees and regulations that drive up costs for families and small businesses. When Concord spends recklessly, Pelham homeowners pay for it, and Deborah will hold the line.
Results in Education
Deborah will push for full transparency in school spending so taxpayers can see exactly where their property tax dollars go and demand accountability when student outcomes fall short. Debbie will oppose any unfunded mandates from Concord that drive up local costs without improving classroom results.
Secure Elections
Deborah will push to strengthen voter ID requirements at New Hampshire polling places including proof of US Citizenship. She will oppose any effort to expand same-day registration loopholes that make it harder to verify residency in New Hampshire's larger cities. Deborah will also work to ensure that all voting machines used in Hillsborough County are subject to rigorous hand-count audits so that every legitimate vote is verified and every Pelham resident can trust the result.
2A Defender
Deborah will oppose any legislation that expands background check requirements, restricts magazine capacity, or creates a firearms registry in New Hampshire. She will work to strengthen the state's preemption law so that no municipality in Hillsborough County or anywhere else in the state can pass local ordinances that infringe on what Concord has already protected. Deborah will also push back against any red flag proposals that allow courts to strip Granite Staters of their firearms without due process.
Keep Zoning Local
Deborah Kruzel will oppose any state legislation that strips Pelham and other New Hampshire towns of their authority to set local zoning laws, keeping those decisions where they belong: with elected planning boards and the residents who show up to town meetings. She will fight back against top-down mandates from Concord that would force higher-density development on communities regardless of local infrastructure, school capacity, or the character of individual neighborhoods. New Hampshire's tradition of local control is not a talking point for Deborah, it is the line she will hold every session.
Limited Government
Limited government means keeping decisions as close to the people as possible, protecting individual liberty, and ensuring taxpayer dollars are spent responsibly. Government should perform its essential responsibilities efficiently while avoiding unnecessary regulation and bureaucracy. Debbie strongly supports New Hampshire's tradition of local control, personal responsibility, and fiscal discipline and those principles will guide her decisions in Concord.
