Fighting for Our Communities
Diane Pauer has been a dedicated New Hampshire resident since 1988 and has called Brookline home since 1994. With a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with High Distinction from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Diane brings a unique blend of technical expertise and practical problem-solving to the State House.
As a former digital and firmware design engineer and technical instructor in both military and private sectors, Diane understands the importance of precision, efficiency, and getting things right the first time. For 30 years, she served as a military spouse to her husband, Colonel Eric Pauer (U.S. Air Force retired), raising two children while supporting her family's service to our nation.
Now in her third term as State Representative for Hillsborough District 36, Diane serves as Chairman of the House Municipal & County Government Committee, where she fights every day to reduce government overreach and protect local control. Her favorite quote says it all: "Live free or die: death is not the worst of evils." - General John Stark
Committed to Conservative Principles
Lower Your Tax Burden
Diane will continue fighting to preserve New Hampshire's competitive advantage by blocking any attempts to impose a state income or sales tax. She's working tirelessly to reduce the property tax burden that crushes working families and seniors on fixed incomes, while attracting businesses that create jobs without sacrificing the New Hampshire Advantage.
Shrink Government, Expand Freedom
Diane votes to eliminate redundant state agencies and consolidate overlapping departments. She opposes new state mandates on local communities and works to repeal existing unfunded mandates that force towns to raise property taxes. Smaller government means more freedom and lower taxes for you.
Defend Constitutional Rights
From protecting your Second Amendment rights to preserving medical freedom, Diane stands firm against government overreach. She opposes universal background checks, mandatory waiting periods, and any legislation requiring medical procedures as a condition of employment or school attendance. Your rights are not negotiable.
Support Law Enforcement
Diane votes to fully fund our police departments and reject legislation that weakens qualified immunity protections. She opposes bail reform measures that put dangerous criminals back on the streets and supports streamlining court processes to ensure swift justice for victims and defendants alike.
Expand School Choice
Diane champions legislation to expand New Hampshire's Education Freedom Account program and remove caps limiting school choice. She supports policies that allow education dollars to follow students while opposing state curriculum mandates that override local school boards and parental authority.
Election Integrity Matters
Diane works to strengthen voter ID requirements and ensure our voter rolls are regularly maintained. She pushes for signature verification for absentee ballots and supports measures that increase transparency in the vote counting process, giving every Granite Stater confidence in our elections.
