Glen Aldrich
Protecting Our Lakes, Our Liberty.
Five terms of experience. One clear mission: make Belknap County a place families can still afford to call home.
He Knows This District Because He Lives It
Glen Aldrich has lived in Belknap County long enough to watch it change.
He's retired now, married to Marie for 31 years, and together they have a daughter, Violet. The Lakes Region isn't a talking point to Glen — it's home, and it's where his family built their life.
Glen has represented Belknap 6 in the New Hampshire House for five terms. He knows the district and the people in it, and after this long, he knows how the process actually works — which matters when the decisions being made affect what families pay just to live here.
He's running for a sixth term because Belknap County keeps getting harder to afford. Young families are getting priced out. Seniors on fixed incomes are feeling the squeeze too. Glen wants to do something about that.

Priorities Worth Fighting For
Clear positions, built on five terms of knowing how Concord actually works — and who pays the bill when it doesn't.
Protecting the Second Amendment
I will work to protect firearm owners from infringement by local, county, state, and federal authorities.
Property Tax Relief
Glen Aldrich has fought to increase state funding for local education so Belknap County towns don't have to lean so heavily on property taxes to fund schools. He'll push to restore state revenue sharing with cities and towns, cut since 2010, so local budgets don't fall entirely on homeowners. Glen opposes any broad-based income or sales tax, and will work to control state spending so property taxes remain the only, but a more manageable, burden on NH taxpayers.
Affordable Housing
Glen Aldrich will push to cut the red tape and local permitting delays that drive up construction costs across Belknap County, giving towns incentive to approve more workforce housing near job centers. He'll oppose any statewide zoning mandates from Concord, keeping housing decisions with Gilford, Laconia, and Belknap 6 voters instead of state bureaucrats. And because NH has no income or sales tax, Glen knows property taxes are the real affordability fight — he'll work to control state spending that gets pushed down to local property tax bills, which is what actually prices young families and seniors out of their homes.
