Meet Kimberly

She Stopped Watching From the Sidelines

Kimberly Thomas is a wife, mother, and grandmother who has run her own business since 2003.

She has spent years showing up for her kids — whether that meant helping with schoolwork at the kitchen table or cheering them on from the bleachers. Voting was never something she took lightly, either. She always did her homework before casting a ballot.

Her path into politics started at a meeting with General Flynn back in January 2021, alongside about thirty other people. He said something that stuck with her:

“Local action results in national action.”

The words that changed everything

That was the moment she decided to stop watching from the sidelines and start doing something. Since then she has served as a delegate for several years and ran for State Representative two years ago.

Kimberly believes everyone has a voice — and that voice only matters if it gets used. She is running again because she wants a better future for the next generation, one built by people willing to put in the work now.

Wife, Mom & Grandmother

Family first — the reason she's in this fight.

Business Owner Since 2003

She knows what it takes to meet a payroll.

Years as a Delegate

Showing up, doing the homework, staying engaged.

Local Action First

Change starts right here in Hillsborough 33.

The Platform

What Kimberly Will Fight For

Clear positions. No hedging. Here's exactly where Kimberly Thomas stands and what she'll do in Concord for the families of Hillsborough 33.

Border, Finance & Safety

Kimberly Thomas will push legislation in Concord to deny state funding to any local policy that shields illegal immigrants from federal enforcement, ensuring New Hampshire never becomes a sanctuary state. She will fight to preserve our lack of a broad income and sales tax while working to expand the disabled and elderly property tax exemptions in towns across Hillsborough County to keep lifelong residents from being taxed out of their homes. On safety, she will back full funding for local police departments and support resource officers in every Hillsborough 33 school district.

Common Sense

Kimberly Thomas will vote to require New Hampshire schools to notify parents before any change to a student's name, pronouns, or gender identity records, keeping Hillsborough 33 families in charge of decisions about their own children. She will support legislation keeping biological males out of girls' and women's school sports, consistent with fairness for female athletes across the state. She will oppose using New Hampshire taxpayer dollars, already stretched thin without an income or sales tax, to fund gender transition procedures for minors.

Education

Kimberly Thomas will fight to expand Education Freedom Accounts so Hillsborough 33 families can choose the school that fits their child, not just the one assigned by zip code. She'll push back against state mandates that drive up local property taxes by shifting more education costs onto Concord rather than homeowners. Kimberly will also work to keep curriculum decisions with local school boards and parents, not bureaucrats in Concord or Washington.

Our Values

Every Voice Matters —
But Only If It's Used

Kimberly's belief is simple: government works best when regular people refuse to stay quiet. That conviction is the whole reason she got off the sidelines — and it's how she'll represent Peterborough and Sharon in Concord.

  • Taxpayers deserve a Representative who guards their money like it's her own.
  • Parents — not bureaucrats — make the decisions about their children.
  • Safe communities start with backing the officers who protect them.
  • Local action results in national action. Change begins at home.

The Next Generation

Building a Better Future, Starting Now

Ask Kimberly why she's running again and the answer never changes: the kids. The grandchildren. The next generation that will inherit whatever we build — or whatever we let slip away.

She's spent a lifetime showing up: at the kitchen table with homework, on the sidelines at games, at delegate meetings, and now on the ballot. Not because it's easy, but because someone has to put in the work now so the people coming up next have something worth inheriting.

That's what “Together We Can Do Better” really means. Not a slogan — an invitation.
