Who He Is

Built It. Taught It.
Now Ready To Serve It.

Larry Miner standing in front of an American flag

Laurence A. Miner has spent his career building things and teaching people — and he wants to bring that same practical mindset to Concord.

He has served as Fremont's Building Inspector since 2020. He holds licenses as both an Electrician, dating back to 1979, and a Builder. He's a Certified Code Instructor and a member of the NH Board Officials Association and the NH Sea Coast Board Official Association.

Before all that, Larry taught in classrooms as an elementary and special education teacher at the elementary and middle school level. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Education.

That mix of trades experience and teaching experience shapes how he looks at problems: find out how something actually works, then explain it plainly.

Why He's Running

Fremont Needs Someone Who Knows How Things Actually Work

Larry is a husband, father, homeowner, and farmer. He knows Fremont from the ground up — literally — from inspecting its buildings to working its land.

He's running for State Representative because he believes that kind of hands-on, detail-oriented experience belongs in the New Hampshire House. Fremont needs someone who understands codes, construction, and classrooms — and who can translate that knowledge into good policy.

As a homestead farmer he understands the importance of natural resources, agriculture, food freedom, and commerce. Larry is ready to represent all of Fremont.

The Priorities

What Larry Will Fight For

01

Second Amendment

Keep and defend our second amendment rights.

02

Address The Trade Worker Shortage

As a tradesman of 50 years — a Master Electrician, Building Inspector, and licensed Construction Supervisor for over 20 years — I understand the need for less regulation and the balance needed for home safety and value for the people of New Hampshire.

03

Environment & Agriculture

I understand the importance of agriculture, appreciate the beauty of rural New Hampshire, and recognize the challenges we face as the populations in our community, region and state grow.

  • Small farms make up over 80% of the farms in NH. Over the last 15 years, my wife and I have learned much about regulations from the local, state and federal level and their effects on our local farmers — good and not so good — and the impact on our local food system.
  • I'm very concerned that New Hampshire gets only about 5% of their food from our state. So much food is imported.
  • I am also aware of and support the hard work of organizations and agencies focused on bringing local healthy food to our communities.
  • Agriculture lands in New Hampshire are being bought up by developers at an alarming rate. There's a need for starter homes and affordable housing for young families that we want to come work here, but we should balance that with the preservation of our natural resources and agriculture.

Working The Land

Food Freedom Starts On New Hampshire Soil

Larry and his wife Leanne run a homestead farm right here in Fremont. Fifteen years of hands-on work has taught them exactly how local, state, and federal rules land on the shoulders of a small New Hampshire farmer.

Only about 5% of the food New Hampshire eats is grown in New Hampshire. Larry believes that number should go up — that agriculture, natural resources, food freedom, and commerce are Granite State priorities, not afterthooughts.

Growth is coming. Larry will make sure it doesn't come at the cost of the farmland and rural character that make Fremont home.

From Fremont To Concord

Practical People Make
Practical Policy

Codes. Construction. Classrooms. Crops. Larry Miner has lived every one of them. That is the kind of plain-spoken, detail-oriented experience the New Hampshire House needs — and the kind of voice Fremont deserves in the State House.

Out In Fremont

A Neighbor You've Already Met

You'll find Larry at the town events, the fairs, and the Fourth of July — talking with neighbors, listening to concerns, and answering questions about permits, projects, and the price of doing things right.

Fremont is a town where people still know each other. That's worth protecting. Larry is running to make sure the decisions made in Concord respect the way of life we've built here — and that Fremont's voice is heard clearly, every single session.

Have a question? A concern? An idea? Larry wants to hear it.
