A Leader Forged by Service
Sebastian Zyzdorf spent years in the U.S. Army as a Signal Support Systems Specialist. That work taught him how to communicate clearly, solve technical problems under pressure, and keep critical operations running.
He brought those same skills home to Goshen, where he now serves as a Selectman — working through local issues and keeping the town on track.
Running for the NH House in Sullivan District 8 is a natural next step. Sebastian wants to take what he has learned from both military service and local government to Concord, where he can represent the people of this region directly. He knows this area and the people who live here, and his goal is straightforward: protect what already works and push for policies that reflect what residents actually care about.
Where Sebastian Stands
Practical, principled leadership for the families of Sullivan County — rooted in common sense and real results.
Lower Taxes
New Hampshire families and businesses should keep more of what they earn. Sebastian supports responsible budgeting, reducing the property tax burden where possible, and opposing broad-based taxes. State government should live within its means and use taxpayer dollars efficiently and accountably.
Public Safety
Safe communities are the foundation of a strong New Hampshire. Sebastian supports law enforcement, believes violent and repeat offenders must be held accountable, and will ensure our police have the resources they need. He backs strong efforts to combat fentanyl trafficking and the opioid crisis.
Individual Freedom
Every person deserves dignity, respect, and fairness under the law. Regardless of race, religion, creed, sex, sexual orientation, or background, every Granite Stater should live freely and be judged by the content of their character. Sebastian will protect individual rights and uphold our constitutional freedoms.
Mental Health
Mental health is as important as physical health, and no one should wait months for care. Sebastian supports expanding access to quality services, strengthening community-based care, and reducing unnecessary licensing barriers so we can build a strong mental health workforce across New Hampshire.
Housing
New Hampshire needs practical solutions to improve housing availability while preserving community character. Sebastian supports reducing unnecessary regulatory barriers and encouraging responsible development — while ensuring local communities keep a meaningful role in planning decisions.
Veterans & Military Families
New Hampshire has a responsibility to honor those who have served and the families who serve alongside them. Sebastian is committed to improving access to veterans' benefits, strengthening support for military families, and ensuring service members receive the recognition they have earned.
Our Environment
New Hampshire's lakes, forests, and rivers are among our greatest assets. Sebastian supports enforcing existing environmental laws, properly resourcing the Department of Environmental Services, holding polluters accountable, and expanding responsible public access for hunting, fishing, and recreation.
Small Business
Small businesses are the backbone of our local communities. Sebastian supports reducing unnecessary regulatory and licensing barriers that make it harder to start and grow a business — while maintaining fair standards that protect consumers and keep the playing field level.
Part of This Community
Sebastian doesn't just want to represent Sullivan 8 — he lives it. From his work as a Goshen Selectman to the everyday life he shares with his neighbors, he understands the people and places that make this region home.
That's the difference between someone who reads about a district and someone who belongs to it. Sebastian's commitment is simple: listen first, then fight to protect what already works.
