A Fighter Who Serves

Vanessa Poulin is a proud United States Navy veteran, mother of three, and candidate for New Hampshire State Representative in Floterial District 27, representing Allenstown, Dunbarton, Epsom, and Hooksett.

Vanessa's decision to run for office comes from a deep love for New Hampshire and a growing concern for the direction of government and the challenges everyday families are facing. She believes the role of government should be simple but powerful: protect freedom, respect taxpayers, strengthen families, and stay accountable to the people it serves.

After over a decade of service in the United States Navy, Vanessa understands what it means to sacrifice, to lead under pressure, and to put service before self. That sense of duty didn't end when her military service did—it carried into her life as a mother and community member.

Today, she is actively involved in her local community, serving on the Epsom Budget Committee, Epsom Planning Board, and Epsom Conservation Committee, as well as the Belknap-Merrimack Head Start Policy Council. Through these roles, she has seen firsthand how important local decision-making is—and how often everyday voices are overlooked in Concord.

Her campaign is rooted in a simple belief—government should work for the people, not the other way around. She is focused on restoring trust, standing up for taxpayers, supporting parents in their role as the primary decision-makers for their children, and keeping New Hampshire strong, independent, and free.

Stop Out-of-Control Spending and Protect Taxpayers

Hardworking New Hampshire families are being squeezed while government continues to expand. Vanessa will stand firmly against wasteful spending, bloated budgets, and fiscal mismanagement in Concord. She believes the government should live within its means—just like every family in the state is forced to do.

Defend Parents' Rights and Keep Government Out of Family Life

Parents—not politicians or bureaucrats—should have the final say in raising and guiding their children. Vanessa will stand up against government overreach in education and community policy, and work to keep schools focused on academics, not political agendas. She believes strong families are the foundation of a strong New Hampshire.

Stop Pricing Out the People Who Built New Hampshire

The people who built New Hampshire—our older generations—deserve the ability to stay in their homes and communities with dignity. At the same time, younger families deserve a fair chance to put down roots. Vanessa will fight policies that drive up costs and make it harder for either generation to remain in the Granite State.

Strengthen Public Safety and Support First Responders

Safe communities are the foundation of a strong New Hampshire. Vanessa will support law enforcement, firefighters, and emergency responders, ensuring they have the resources and respect needed to keep neighborhoods safe. She will oppose policies that weaken public safety or put communities at risk.

Promote Economic Freedom and Fiscal Responsibility

Vanessa believes New Hampshire’s long-term strength depends on a limited, efficient government that respects taxpayers and encourages economic growth. She will support policies that reduce regulatory burdens, protect small businesses, and ensure government lives within its means—so families and job creators can thrive without unnecessary interference from Concord.

Protect Constitutional Rights, Including the Second Amendment

Vanessa is a strong supporter of the Constitution and believes the rights it guarantees must be protected without compromise. She will defend law-abiding citizens’ Second Amendment rights and oppose efforts that unfairly restrict responsible gun ownership. She believes safety and freedom go hand in hand, and that rights should not be weakened through overreach or unnecessary regulation.

Put “Live Free or Die” into Action

Vanessa believes “Live Free or Die” is more than a motto—it is a governing principle. She will fight to keep government limited, protect constitutional rights, and ensure New Hampshire remains a place where freedom is protected and preserved.

Honor and Support New Hampshire Veterans

Vanessa believes the men and women who served our country deserve real support, not bureaucracy and delays. She will work to improve access to VA services, mental health care, and benefits, while ensuring veterans receive timely, effective, and respectful treatment for their service and sacrifice.
